Francy's Pasta

Francy’s Pasta was the best experience of our time in Florence. It was extremely important to us to find a class that was authentic in both the food and the environment. We did not want to be in a commercial kitchen. We spent a lot of time searching for the right place. Many other classes that we looked into were far from the city, making the commute very long and expensive. I thought I would have to sacrifice my dream of being in the hills of Tuscany during the class. But Francy’s delivered on all aspects that we were looking for: authentic Tuscan environment, close to the center of Florence, a great menu with several recipes to make and a schedule that would fit with our short visit to the area. I’m still a little bit surprised, and very grateful, that we were able to get all of that in one place. Their driver met us a short walk from Ponte Vecchio, he was easy to find and it was a short, beautiful drive to Francy’s. The room we cooked in had beautiful views of Tuscany. Luisa and Gaia lead our class. They were extremely engaging, knowledgeable and welcoming. The hospitality was great. Our class had 6 people on a Sunday morning, we were offered wine, they had great music playing, we were offered cheese and bruschetta while we started cooking. We made 3 dishes, all were very well explained and we had lots of hands on help from Luisa and Gaia. We ate our meal together with the other students, were offered limoncello & a sweet treat for dessert. We were also given written recipes of what we created and Luisa and Gaia shared their recommendations of local places to visit for the rest of our time in Tuscany. I honestly cannot say enough about this experience! Perfecto!

Francys was the most incredible experience of our trip to Italy. Finding the right cooking class in Tuscany was the most important part of the trip, and we absolutely found perfection with this experience. They pick you up (and drop back off) not far from Ponte Vecchio, for a short and beautiful ride to the house where the class is hosted. This makes it SUPER easy for anyone staying in the central Florence area. It’s stunning, and so are the views. The class structure is perfect, the hosts are great, the instruction and presentation is flawless, it’s fun with lots of laugh, and it’s all just so well-perfectly timed. You get to make multiple types of pasta dishes, with further instruction/demonstration, and eat your tasty meals after with the rest of your classmates. They’ll also serve a little Prosecco throughout and offer a little dessert treat. We searched dozens of classes in the area and we are SO glad this is where we landed. It’s an INCREDIBLE value for what you’re getting. 10/10 without question.

I cannot recommend Francy’s experience enough! We booked her pasta making class through TripAdvisor. Our group of 9 people was considered a larger class, but Francy, Luisa, and Tomaso did an excellent job making sure everyone was engaged and understood what to do. Pickup and drop off was smooth, quick, and easy. Once at Francy’s house, we had time to take photos before receiving spritz & popcorn - and getting to know the cat! During the class, Luisa and Tomaso provided excellent instructions and made time to answer everyone’s questions. They were also sure to keep our wine glasses full when we weren’t working on the pasta! We had prosecco, bruschetta, 3 kinds of pasta & sauce, more wine, dessert, and of course limoncello. Dinner was delicious and the view was spectacular! They sent us home with copies of the recipes, and combined with the evening it made the experience well worth the price. Thank you Francy for inviting us into your home and providing such an amazing experience for our trip to Florence!
